Welcome to Emerald Quarries
Emerald Quarries is a family owned and operated company which has been operating for over 25 years out of the Gemfields in Central Queensland. The company supplies a vast number of concrete plants throughout Queensland and New South Wales with a number of products for use in exposed aggregate.
They also are the largest supplier of road base products to Main Roads, local councils and railway in the Central Highlands region. Labeled as one of the best laid out and managed quarries in Australia, Terry Peisker the C.E.O. is constantly striving to improve procedures, products and professionalism within his organisation.
Emerald Quarries is located 58 kilometres due west of Emerald, between Sapphire
and Rubyvale on the Gemfields. The quarry site is over
600ha in size and even though the quarry has been operating
for over 25 years they are only utilizing 60 acres. The
primary function of Emerald Quarries is to supply concrete
plants around Australia with decorative pebble. The stone
/ pebble in question is round quartz stone with high strength.
Emerald Quarries provides 3 different coloured products,
Honey, Gold and White which are sized in 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,10,12,14-16
and 20mm. With a sand drier newly commissioned on site,
they are now able to offer dried premix concrete mix in
one and two tonne bags.
Emerald Quarries prides itself on their dedicated staff, professionalism and experience in the Quarry industry. A fully equipped workshop and complete maintenance section for plants and machinery ensures high productivity throughout the year. The Engineering Department is dedicated to improving operations which has been obvious in the past few years.
